Farm campsite

Farm campsite De Zandkant is beautifully situated on the edge of De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park. Walk or cycle straight into nature from the campsite, while lively cities, charming villages and popular attractions are also surprisingly close. The forest is right on your doorstep, and Tilburg and Den Bosch are just a 15-minute drive away.

Camping

Set up your caravan, tent or campervan on one of 18 spacious pitches around the edge of a large field bordering woodland and clover fields, where deer often graze in the mornings. There is play equipment for children in the middle of the field.

Behind the main field are two smaller fields with a total of 8 pitches overlooking the meadows.

Every pitch has a water tap, an 8-amp electricity connection and a shared TV aerial connection, all free to use, as is the Wi-Fi.

Our campsite is car-free.

Facilities

Sanitary facilities

Our sanitary building is both practical and welcoming, with underfloor heating for your comfort.

Facilities include:

  • four toilets

  • one urinal

  • five showers

  • two private wash cubicles

  • four washbasins

  • an accessible room with a shower, toilet and washbasin

  • a baby changing station

  • a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave

Outside the building are three covered dishwashing stations and a laundry sink. There is also a disposal point for chemical toilets.

Electricity

Every pitch comes with an 8-amp connection at no extra cost, and 5 kWh per day is included in the price. Connections of 10, 12, 14 or 16 amps are available for an additional charge. Electricity use above 5 kWh per day is charged according to the meter reading when you leave.

Facilities for horses

Horses can stay in our spacious stables and spend time each day in a large pasture right beside the campsite. The outdoor riding arena is free to use.

Facilities for children

There is plenty for young children up to about 6 years old to enjoy on our farm. In the middle of the main camping field are a basket swing, an obstacle course and a sandpit. There is also an animal enclosure with goats, chickens and alpacas.

Discover the Loonse en Drunense Duinen and the surrounding area

De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park is one of the most beautiful natural areas in North Brabant. Located between Tilburg, Waalwijk and ’s-Hertogenbosch, it is known for having the largest area of drifting sand in Western Europe. Its vast sandy plains, dunes and forests can make you feel as though you have wandered into a Dutch desert.

Covering more than 3,500 hectares, the park offers plenty of ways to explore. There are walking, cycling and mountain-biking trails, as well as dedicated routes for horse riders and carriage drivers. Or simply head out onto the sand to roam the dunes or enjoy a walk through the woods.

From farm campsite De Zandkant, you can step straight into the forest. For a day of culture, shopping or good food, you need not travel far either: Tilburg and ’s-Hertogenbosch are about a 15-minute drive away. The picturesque fortified town of Heusden and several other charming places nearby are also worth a visit.

Fancy a day out? The Efteling, Safaripark Beekse Bergen and Recreatiebad De IJzeren Man are all within easy reach of the campsite. It is easy to combine peace and nature with fun outings for the whole family.
