Accommodation at De Zandkant

Farm campsite

De Zandkant farm campsite is located on the edge of De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park. This nature reserve lies in Noord-Brabant, between Tilburg, Waalwijk and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and is the largest area of drifting sand in Western Europe. It is like a desert in the Netherlands: a vast expanse of sandy hills and plains. Surrounding it is an extensive woodland where you can spend hours exploring. The area covers more than 3,500 hectares and has walking trails, horse-riding and carriage-driving trails, and cycling and mountain-biking routes. Of course, all that sand invites you to roam over the dunes or gallop across the plains.

From the farm campsite, you can head straight into the woods. The cities of Tilburg and Den Bosch are a 15-minute drive away.

The picturesque fortified town of Heusden, along with other nearby towns and villages, is well worth a visit.

For a fun day out, the Efteling, Safaripark Beekse Bergen and Recreatiebad De IJzeren Man are all close by.

Camping

Your caravan, tent or motorhome will have plenty of space on one of 18 pitches around the edge of a large field bordering the woods and clover fields, where deer often graze in the morning. There is play equipment for children in the middle of the field.

Behind the large field are two smaller fields with a total of 8 pitches overlooking the meadows.

Every pitch has a water tap, a 6-amp electricity supply and a TV aerial connection, all available free of charge, as is Wi-Fi.

Our campsite is car-free.

Camping bungalow

Enjoy the farm campsite with a little extra comfort in our camping bungalow.

This cosy wooden holiday cottage accommodates up to five people.

It stands beside the camping field and overlooks the meadows.

It has a living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchenette, fridge and stove.

There is a toilet; showers are available in the campsite’s washroom facilities.
Wooden partitions separate the sleeping areas from the living area.

There is a double bed (160 x 200) and a bunk bed, plus a sofa bed in the living area.

In early spring and late autumn, it is a good idea to bring warm pyjamas and a hot-water bottle or extra blanket. The camping bungalow was fully renovated and insulated in 2021, making it a pleasant place to stay in spring and autumn too.

Pets are not allowed in the camping bungalow.
